Takamine Legacy Series Upright AC/EL Fretless Bass with Cutaway

The TB10 bass is handcrafted in our pro series facility that has been building precision quality instruments over five decades.

A unique hybrid crossover bass guitar, it retains the 34" scale but the fretboard has the radius of an upright bass, which allows for bowing. It can be played as a regular bass guitar or as an upright with the tail pin extension peg.

This fretless instrument produces a tone heavy and fundamental with the rich harmonics you would expect from an upright bass. Includes Takamine's Palathetic pickup, known in the industry as one of the most accurate and natural sounding acoustic/electric pickups.

Built with the performer in mind, it features Takamine's proprietary CT4-DX preamp system paired with duo of the unique Palathetic under-saddle pickup and Takamine original soundboard transducer for peerless amplified response. The CT4-DX provides independent control over both pickups, each of which will then have two-band EQ and a notch filter control. You can also alter the mix levels of each of the pickups, and an onboard chromatic tuner.

In addition to the Takamine Palathetic pickup already on board. this model comes with a second pickup The Takamine original high-quality Soundboard Transducer. This adds a whole new dimension to the already natural sound of our famed Takamine electronics.
