Shubb C1 Anniversary Edition Steel String Guitar Capo in Violet Sky

Introducing our limited 50th Anniversary Collection. Throughout 2024 we will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary by releasing a series of very special capos. They are a tribute to five decades of creativity by the artists who have made Shubb Capos the company we are today, and they represent the state of our art. These capos will be produced in limited quantities.

The "Violet Sky" combines a variety of technical and aesthetic features to create a truly unique capo. Our violet is a deep and lush shade with a captivating shine made possible by our high-tech titanium finish. We then brand it with an original design we call "Sequoia" because the pattern resembles a redwood frond, something we relate to here in Northern California. Accented with iridescent hardware, the colors and designs meld together into something truly special. The first release in our Anniversary collection and a beautiful violet sunrise for many things to come this important celebratory year.

When the Shubb capo was first introduced more than 30 years ago guitarists throughout the world fell in love with it. They're still in love with it today. We've given it a few tweaks through the years, but its basic mechanical principle remains the same: a unique over-center locking mechanism that provides an unrivalled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it securely in place, and removes it just as quickly.

And the Shubb capo is BY FAR the best at not creating tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no re-tuning is necessary!

Capos continue to come and go, but the fact remains for the guitarist who is serious about quality and intonation ...nothing but a Shubb will do.
